VOLUNTEER
Have you been affected by heart disease and stroke?
Over 9,000 families and friends have been affected by Heart Disease. Heart disease is Ireland's biggest killer – ahead of cancer, road deaths and suicide. Help the Irish Heart Foundation in our fight against premature death with Heart Disease.
Volunteers with Heart
Volunteering can be a valuable way to work within a community and gain some life experiences. For many people who are finishing work or want to contribute to a great cause, this is a great way to make a difference.
We are always looking for new volunteers to join the Happy Heart Team! You could have some fun, be part of a great team and meet new people. Here are just some ways you can get involved.
Become a volunteer - If you have a few hours to spare, we would be delighted to have you as part of our Happy Heart Weekend team on the day! If you volunteer with us all you have to do is show up at the agreed time and collect those pennies. So sign up and we will be in touch soon.
Become a coordinator - this role would involve a more committed approach to Happy Heart Weekend Weekend but we can assure you that it is very rewarding! As a coordinator you would work closely with the regional manager and local volunteers in your area.
So if you want to get involved or become a local Coordinator please fill in our volunteer form or call us on 01 6685001
Your regional fundraiser will also be more than happy to discuss the opportunities in your area.
Volunteer Reception Launch
On March 23rd we held a reception for over 100 of our volunteers. We would like to thank all of the people that came along to help us launch Happy Heart Weekend for our volunteers. It was a great day, having our picture taken with Mary Whelan, watching to a CPR demonstration and meeting our new Medical Director Angie Brown.
